ROAD CLOSURES IN EVERDON - 2008 Please note that there are two road closures in Everdon over the months of July and August, for work on drains and for the resurfacing of the road to Fawsley, the dates are as follows : July 28th - August 15th . - High Street and Well Lane. August 18th - August 29th. - Fawsley Road, Everdon to Fawsley crossroads. High Street/ Well Lane . The whole of the top end of the village will be subject to trench work etc as a completely new drainage system is installed. It is unlikely that Well Lane will be affected at all but otherwise the High Street will be closed to all traffic over 7.5 tonnes, and to light through- traffic at off-peak times. Access to the village should be unaffected but there could be delays at times as work progresses, in the event of such delays access from one end of the village to the other can be had via. the gated road through the ‘Park'.Otherwise there is an official diversion via. Farthingstone, Preston Capes and Newnham Crossroads. Fawsley Road. Fawsley road is being completely resurfaced therefore during the closure period it is likely to be inaccessible to through traffic

WEEKEND ADVENT FLOWER FESTIVAL 5th, 6th & 7th December, 2008 in St Mary's Church, Everdon in aid of the Church Restoration Fund with the theme of The Twelve Days of Christmas.  As well as the flowers the event will include musical concerts, a special service on the Sunday, a Christmas produce stall and refreshments. all taking place in the church.
