Minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on 4th September 2006

The date of these minutes was amended to read correctly. A minor amendment was made to point 8.3. The minutes with these amendments were then signed as a true record of the meeting.

 

1.Matters arising

 

1.1    Access to Mrs Balderson’s Property

       PN/KN to visit site to ascertain precise boundaries of the access before submitting SIM form to  l   

        land registry

1.2    Parish Plan

       The Chairman had invited a representative of Northamptonshire ACRE to attend the   

       November Parish Council meeting in order to provide advice and guidance in respect of

       the Parish Plan

3. Clerk’s Report

               

3.1 [

     NALC training -  Clerk reported that the meeting was intended for Parish Councillors and not 

      for Clerks thereby she would not be attending as had been anticipated

 

 

 

 

3.2 NALC A.G.M – Councillor Nichols was to attend but due to other commitments is now

      unable to do so.

 

 

 

3.3 Poppy Appeal  - it was agree that the Parish Council would pay for a wreath to be laid on

      behalf of the community for the forthcoming Armistice Day commemoration.

4.  Correspondence

All items of correspondence were circulated to Councillors

5. Reports from Councillors

Councillor Ms Pratt reported that the Village Hall AGM had taken place on 7th September 2006 and that minutes of that meeting had been posted on the Parish notice board. The Management Committee had also issued a letter to all residents concerning various matters pertaining to the status, funding and future operation of the village hall.

 

6. Highway Matters

6.1 Fawsley Road

Fawsley Road was to be closed for 1 week commencing 9th October to allow drainage works to be undertaken.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6.2 Grass Mowing
Due to ongoing dissatisfaction with the quality of the grass mowing it was agreed to ask David Grainger how many cuts would be required to maintain the grass in a reasonable condition. The expiry date of the current mowing contract was to be confirmed.

This was discussed at length at an open forum prior to the start of the Parish council meeting

8. AOB

 

8.1 It was requested and agreed that the Parish Plan should be an early agenda item at the next meeting.

 

 

9. Date of Next Meeting

 

Next meeting is to be held at 7.00pm on Tuesday 7 November in the Village Hall (Please note the earlier start – this is to allow the ACRE Representative to discuss the Parish Plan)
