JC pointed out a correction to the last sentence under item 4.3 of the minutes for 3 September 2007. The sentence will be corrected and the amended minutes signed at the next meeting.

Matters Arising

Kerbing the Green.

3.1.1 PN reported that it would cost between £2,500 and £3,000 to kerb the green. This

matter to be discussed prior to setting the precept.

3.1.2 PN tabled a letter received from Mr. Sibley about concerns regarding the kerbing

of the green. PN will reply to this letter.

Disrepair of steps on the bank of Stubbs Row

This matter will be referred to Atkins. PN to ring Atkins.

Overgrown Road Signs

PN tabled two letters received from Mrs Cox of 3 Long Row Close to which he will reply. Mrs Cox brought overgrown and dirty road signs to our attention. PN advised that he trimmed back the vegetation to expose the road signs and washed them.

We are however unable to do anything about the algae-covered trailer as it is privately owned and stands on private ground.

ABB

A letter has been received from ABB advising that due to vandalism, Public Lamps 6 in High Street and 17 in Stubbs Road are loose in the ground and will require re-plumbing. The cost for doing this will amount to £175.64. EF to investigate and report back at the next meeting whether acts of vandalism is covered by our insurance.

5.	WNDC – Planning Principles Consultation Document The committee discussed the proposed changes and formulated a response which EF will submit by 4 October 2007. KN thanked the chairman for being so well prepared as it made the committee’s job much easier					EF
6.	Standing Orders EF advised that the standing orders of July 2003 are still the most recent. She checked with Danny Moody of NALC who advised that new standing orders, taking into account the new Code of Conduct, are being revised and should be issued around Spring 2008. In view of this the committed deferred the review of the standing orders until then.
	Date of Next Meeting The next meeting is to be held at 7.30pm on Thursday 11 October 2007 in the Village Hall. There being no further business, the meeting closed at 8.35pm
